Event Title: Transitioning to Adulthood at CIP
Audience: Families with children; young adults with learning differences, education/clinical
professionals who work with young adults with learning differences, and young adults are welcome to
attend this informational presentation.
CIP Overview: CIP is one of the most comprehensive programs in the world empowering young adults
between the ages of 18-26 with learning differences to succeed in college, employment, and independent
living. CIP also offers two summer programs for high school students: Summer @ CIP and Virtual
Summer Sessions @ CIP.

Presenters’ Bios: Crystal Hayes, M.ED: Crystal has worked in the field of education for over 20 years as a
paraprofessional, teacher, liaison, advisor and administrator. Crystal joined CIP Long Beach as a
Student Advisor in 2015 and has since supported the CIP community in various capacities
including Head Student Advisor, Assistant Program Director, and most recently Interim Program
Director, where she has led CIP Long Beach to continued growth during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Alex Diaz, MBA: Alex has worked in education for about a decade. She joined CIP in April 2018
as the Admissions Coordinator for the CIP Berkeley center and is now a National Enrollment
Specialist. Alex helps families determine whether CIP is a match for their students and increases
community awareness about the program.
