Meet Cristen Antal, M.A.,CCC-SLP, our lead Speech-Language Pathologist. Cristen Antal is licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist by the state of California and holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA). She graduated from California State University Long Beach with a Master of Arts degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 2016. She has a passion for working with children and has had extensive experience with kids of all ages (early intervention, preschool, elementary, middle school level) in the hospital, private practice, and school settings. She is trained in Level 1 of the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) and promotes multimodal (gestures, pictures, verbal) communication. Cristen enjoys providing education to parents and supporting families by providing compassion and a variety of strategies to facilitate communication. She remains active in the community by regularly attending conferences to further her skills as a Speech-Language Pathologist and by singing with the Pacific Chorale as a volunteer.
